CLUNY BENCH

Once a common seat in European salons and coffee houses, long upholstered benches like the Cluny are now at home along the foot of a bed, in a foyer beneath a grand staircase or even pulled up alongside a dining table. The upholstered seat, which stretches six feet from end to end, tops understated Directoire details like a squared apron and tapered legs. Oxford is the standard finish.
