CELADON CRACKLE ROUND PLANTER

The hand-thrown porcelain body of the Celadon Crackle Round Planter has been baked and given a light thermic shock to create the lines serving as the texture in the celadon crackle glaze. Some lines on the pale green planter are darkened with real tea leaves while others are covered with black calligraphy ink to create depth in the porcelain. The complexity of the process required to create this vessel makes it an incredible example of artisanal expressiveness.
