In collaboration with a group of artisan potters, Villa & House has been exploring variations in traditional shapes and colors. In the Flare Vase, artisans have elongated the body, narrowed the base, and widened the mouth creating a striking and graceful silhouette which walks the line between modern and traditional. It's been painted with a blue glaze which is highly temperamental and varies in hue depending on the amount of oxygen in the kiln at any given moment. This introduces an element of chance and serendipity and makes each piece a truly unique creation of nature, and a one-of a kind piece of art.
