Cyprus

This collection is comprised of a unique threesome of pottery shaped lamps in two spellbinding color glazes. Each earthenware lamp was thrown on a potter’s wheel. The glazing technique purposefully exposes some of the underbody to contrast its rough textured with the glossy glaze of color. The Cyprus Blue glaze reflects the welcoming aqua blues of the sea. The Cyprus Brown glaze represents the bounty of the land. It is a chameleon, actually neither brown nor taupe but a welcome blend of neutral.
